We spend 12yrs in school...a wonderful place thats filled with people from our own society...its comforting & non-threatening mainly because our peers are from homes similar to our own...spending so many years in a such an enviroment makes us think that the entire world is going to be the same & nothing prepares us for the reality of life....nothing prepares us for college...college is just the opposite of school....we're thrown into a new world not knowing what it constitutes...we meet so many different people from different walks of life...we're confused...we're scared & our minds are in complete turmoil....the first year goes by in a rather dazed manner....we try to find friends & we try to fit in & ofcouse eventually we do find a group that we suppose we are ok with but its very unlikely that we stick with them for the next 3 years...its only during the final year that we pause....we calm down, sit back & think...we think really hard about what life has been like during the 3 years that have flown by & we realise that we're not the same people we used to be in school....we realize that we no longer think with our hearts but with our heads...and we finally realize that the most important thing that college inculcates in us is maturity...it teaches us that the world is a very versatile & dynamic place.....it teaches us that no one is going to do us any favours & that things are never going to be easy for us...life is one big rollercoaster & its up to us to make it an enjoyable ride...this is the point where we try to make ourselves happy...we try to find people who love us for what we are and not for what they want us to be...we find good people who we can confidently call our friends...
This blog is dedicated to one such group of friends....after struggling for 3 years with the wrong set of people, we have found one another....each of us from a different group but with a common goal....to enjoy and embrace life....
